New Fic: Three Little Words

Three Little Words
Fandom: Farscape
Rated: G
Category: Drabble. Angst, Aeryn POV, John/Aeryn.
Word Count: 100 (duh).
Season: Three.
Spoilers: Green Eyed Monster, Fractures.
Summary: Some things never change - including John’s very bad timing.
Disclaimer: They’re mine, I tell you! All mine! Can I get a ‘Hell Yeah?’ No? Oh. Darn. Spoilsport.

I think I might have been able to stand it.

Given some time, I might have been able to see him… hear him… even smell him… and not grieve for days gone by.

I certainly could’ve kept ignoring him in the meantime - if not for those three little words.

Three little words that have no place in this situation and thus were guaranteed to come out of his mouth.

Some things never change.

I can always count on John Crichton to say exactly the wrong thing at exactly the wrong time.

Even those three little words.

Huey, Louie, and Dewey.

So sad. So, of course I love it! Get that muse working, will ya? Have you finished the series?

I thought of you this weekend. Husband and I were in Vegas and we ate at Margaritaville. Nowadays when I think of Buffett I think of Wabbit. :)

Thanks, and I'd love to, but she is not under my control.

I can only write when life is good, and life has not been so good, so...yeah...this too shall pass, though. I hope.

Anyway, yes. I have finshed the series and watched The Peacekeeper Wars. Just last night, in fact. I will write/blog about this eventually.

Bottom line?

I enjoyed it and will probably write some in it, but I don't see it being a series for which I write heavily. There are series I read and series I write. This one feels more like the former and not the latter, but you never know. I've only seen the show once through and usually it takes many more times through before I can write for it.

Also, overall, Farscape is wonderful, but it has huge issues, too. Continuity and plot holes big enough to drive trucks through - some of them quite bother me to the point of distraction from the show and its characters. Oh, and I think that for me The Peacekeeper Wars didn't happen. I'm quite content with how the series ended and I think I could live with that ending forever. I didn't even want to watch PKW at all, but I did so that I could visit fan sites, etc, and not get spoiled. But how the series ended? I was content with that. Really. I was.

Now, off to research some of those plot holes. (It might simply be a matter of me needing to rewatch some things I'm not clear on. Only watching eps once and then watching the next isn't exactly good for comprehension, especially when something is as fucked up as Farscape. Though I do know that Farscape was written by lots of people quickly, and it is well known for its little inconsistencies. That's part of its charm, no?)

All in all, though, as I said, this is a wonderful little show.

Oh, and nice timing on the Buffett comment. Got local tour dates today. Now...for on sale days...hm...planning, planning!
